Inilabas ang video ng pag-aresto kay Justin Timberlake noong 2024 dahil sa drunken driving, kung saan nahirapan siyang gawin ang field sobriety tests sa New York’s Hamptons.

Body camera footage of Justin Timberlake's June 18, 2024 DWI arrest in Sag Harbor, New York was released on March 20, 2026 following a legal agreement between Sag Harbor officials and Timberlake's attorneys. The video shows the pop star being pulled over after police observed him running a stop sign and veering out of his lane multiple times while driving a rental BMW. Timberlake identified himself to officers as 'Justin Timberlake on a world tour' and admitted to having one martini earlier in the evening.

The footage captures Timberlake struggling with field sobriety tests, including heel-to-toe walking and one-leg stand exercises. He commented on the difficulty of the tests, saying 'these are like really hard tests' during the assessment. Timberlake refused to take a breathalyzer test when asked by officers. A friend who was following Timberlake pleaded with police not to arrest him, but officers proceeded with the arrest based on observed impairment.

Timberlake was cooperative during the arrest process but expressed frustration, telling officers 'I don't mean no harm' and 'Everyone makes a mistake or two.' He was detained overnight at the Sag Harbor Police Department and processed. In September 2024, Timberlake pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of driving while ability impaired (DWAI), which is a non-criminal violation in New York state.

As part of his plea agreement, Timberlake received a fine, was required to complete community service, and had his driver's license suspended. His legal team had initially sued to block the release of the body camera footage, citing concerns about privacy and potential harm to his reputation. The released video was redacted to protect certain personal information as part of the settlement agreement between Timberlake's lawyers and Sag Harbor officials.
